German Design Award 2026

From the award entry

GENIECON is a next-generation digital control system for commercial building pump installations. Its 10-inch multi-touch interface guides users through installation, operation and maintenance.

The entry highlights simple at-a-glance interaction, progressive disclosure, access control and cybersecurity – working together to improve reliability, reduce operational risk and support scalable building infrastructure.

Two categories

GENIECON was recognised in two categories:

  • Excellent Product Design – Industry

  • Excellent Product Design – Service Design

Industry looks at the product. Service Design looks at how it works across installation, daily operation and service over the years it is in use.

German Design Award

The German Design Award is presented by the German Design Council, founded in 1953 on the initiative of the German Bundestag. It is one of the most established international design competitions, recognising work across product design, communication design and architecture.
